Newtech has been awarded the Consultancy Services Contract for the design review and construction supervision of two solar energy photo-voltaic power plants in Elfashir and Eldeain.
Works comprise the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of fixed/tilted ground-mounted photovoltaic power plants, each of approximately 5 MWp installed PV power together with the associated infrastructure and facilities.
The Project is considered as the first of its kind to be implemented in Sudan and shall pave the way for future replication as well as further development and investment in the Renewable Energy Sector.
The Consultancy Contract was signed between Newtech and the Sudanese Electricity Holding Company (SEHC) on Monday 11 June 2018 and the project is expected to be completed by April 2019.
